The Shepherd’s Center of Columbia is one of approximately one hundred centers across the country which are affiliated with the Shepherd’s Center of America. We were founded as a means for older adults to continue to stretch their horizons, be contributing members of society, and help each other. The Shepherd’s Center is open to all persons and is intercultural, interfaith, and interracial.

Classes are taught by people knowledgeable in their field. The classes cover many topics including history, science, literature, music, exercise, and much more. We know you will find something of interest to you. Classes last 50 minutes and are offered on Wednesdays over a 9-week session during the fall, winter, and spring months. They begin at 9:00am running to 11:50 am. The registration cost is $35.00 per session. You may attend any classes you chose from one week to the next. We invite you to visit us for one class at no cost and discover who we are.

At noon, we offer a catered lunch at a modest price and feature a variety of entertaining performances or presentations from interesting speakers. Reservations are required for our lunch program.

The Shepherd’s Center of Columbia appreciates Trenholm Road United Methodist Church, 3401 Trenholm Road, Columbia, SC, for providing assistance for our meeting space.
