Jim Kelly is well known to Shepherdโ€™s Center for sharing his expertise of the world of birds. He has taught several classes here but still has much more to show and tell with his beautiful photography and vast knowledge about our winged friends.


โ€“ Perry Baker, photographer and Interactive Manager for Discover South Carolina will take us on a tour of the beautiful and interesting sites of South Carolina.


David Dickson, public relations director for The South Carolina State Museum will bring us up to date on  the latest very exciting projects and opportunities at the Museum


Richard McLeod and Janice Kline celebrate Valentines Day with a musical program of โ€œLet me call you sweetheartโ€. We all know Richard as our Music Man. Janice as an accomplished vocalist sings from Blues to Opera and will delight you with her varied talent.


Another interesting lunch speaker. Today we heard from Karin Culp. She shared her experience serving as a Peace Corp member in Ethiopia. She told us what she describes as โ€œthe sense of what it was like to be a stranger in a magnificent and unforgettable placeโ€


Dr. Anna Hamilton, pianist presented โ€œFor the Love of 88 Keysโ€ as she performed her works for solo piano inspired by her lifetime love of the instrument and the upcoming Valentineโ€™s Day holiday. She shared some of her most loved pieces from the classical repertoire and some familiar favorites inspired by love.


Ralph Arnold & Catharine Blake takes us on a Journey to Antarctica. During their time at the bottom of the world, this couple explored alongside scientists from around the world. Their journey allowed them the opportunity to experience the rugged beauty of the Antarctic landscape, encountering magnificent wildlife that included penguins, seals, whales and more. They will bring Antarctica to life with their pictorial presentation


Gene Atkinson shares his photos of our National Parks.

Dr. Atkinson, a local author, is returns to entertain us once again but this time with his program of his visits to just a few of our National Parks. This presentation was a combination of education and enjoyment.

Bob Knox and his musician friends will open this winter session with a lively Dixieland Jazz Band performance.
