The Shepherd’s Center of Columbia is one of approximately one hundred centers across the country which are now affiliated with Aging Forward. We were founded as a means for older adults to continue to stretch their horizons, be contributing members of society, and help each other. The Shepherd’s Center of Columbia is open to all persons and is intercultural, interfaith, and interracial.

Classes are taught by people knowledgeable in their field. The classes cover many topics including history, science, literature, music, exercise, and much more. We know you will find something of interest to you. Classes last 50 minutes and are offered on Wednesdays over a 9-week session during the fall, winter, and spring months. They begin at 9:00 A.M. running to 11:50 A.M. The registration cost is $50.00 per session. You may attend any classes you choose from one week to the next. We invite you to visit us for one class at no cost and discover who we are.

Check the Classes page to see what is available this Winter.
Please see the Classes page to find out what the Winter session provides.

Classes vary each session, of which there are three sessions each year: Winter, Spring and Fall.

At noon, we offer a catered lunch at a modest price and feature a variety of entertaining performances or presentations from interesting speakers.
Reservations are required for our lunch program.
